Operational Research
Operational Research Department is our most scientifically oriented and forward-looking division. The complexity of problems we may solve for our customers reaches top scientific level. Scientists from leading universities work in this department. The OR department is interdisciplinary and deploys scientific approaches like mathematical modeling, statistics, data structures and algorithms to represent and optimize the complex real-world problems related to the operations and execution within organizations.
Pure mathematical problems may arise in various business areas, but common for all of them is that solving such problems may lead to dramatically increased profits. Some example areas where OR may take place are:
- Logistics and road traffic management;
- Scheduling of processes, tasks, staffing;
- Packing problems in warehouses, containers and arrangement of elements over a plate to reduce waste;
- Construction of networks minimizing the cost with quality guaranteed
